My name is Nicholas Folis, and I am the author of Nicholas's Animal Kingdom.
As for programming, I have always wanted to be creative and make my own video games ever since
I was young. I am experienced with programming languages like Python and Ruby, and I am more and more
getting used to the C and C++ programming languages. I hope to pursue a bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
and I want to become a computer programmer (particular in the field of video games). Unfortunately, you will not
find any resume about me just yet, as I do not have one. Nevertheless, I hope to work on one this coming
Winter break!
For animals, I love the beautiful animals and plants that exist. Sloths are so very cute because they
always appear as if they are smiling, and who can not look at the eyes of a mockingbird or hummingbird and
not say "aaawwww....". Even the buffalo and the mountain lion can make you think "Wow, what majestic creatures.".
However, I especially love how beautiful ocean and marine life is. Over the summer,
I have watched
several movies created by Howard Hall Productions,
in a series named "Wild Window". This series specifically aims to bring
the marine life (whether you know every fish there is or not) to your screen, so that you
can explore nearly everything these creatures
are able to explore for yourself!
It was specifically because I liked the "Wild Window" series,
as well as watching Howard and
Michelle Hall's footage taken
throughout the years that I wanted to create this website to share just what I found
in this series. Visit the "References" page for more information!
But obviously, who doesn't love cats? The image above is my most recent addition to
my family. Meet Casper! Or should I say..."Clasper", because when he is in a playful mood,
he can get pretty rough if he decides to bite your legs to get your attention. He is also a
fierce player period. However, he is very friendly, and he loves attention.
Also, he is officially two years old as of last September!
I have had many cats throughout my life, and today, Casper became
(self-)adopted brothers with Sylvester, my other cat. Sylvester was a few years older, and he
does not like being petted as much, but he still was fond of the family deep-down,
and he has become very gentle around us. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, Sylvester got into an
incident, and passed away from the injuries later.
Do not worry! Casper is doing fine, and we are doing fine, thanks to him!
